Policies & Procedures

Registration/Tuition:
A non-refundable fee of $50 per family is required yearly at time of registration.
Tuition is debited on the first of each month, beginning August 1st and the last debit occuring June 1st.

Payment of Fees:
Tuition is automatically debited from either a bank account or credit/debit card the first day of the month.  Fall semester tuition begins August 1 and ends June 1.  The Academy does continue into June for the year-end performance, therefore tuition will be due for June.  On October 1st a one time costume fee will be debited from the same account, on March 1st a one time performance fee will be debited, and on May 1st a $10 picture sitting fee will be debited.  The tuition is based on the number of spaces, not on the number of classes.  No tuition reductions for absentees or holidays.

Declined Fees:  A $10 fee will be charged for ALL declined debit, credit, and automatic bank draft transactions.  This will include expired expiration dates on credit cards.

Withdrawals:
There is a two-month minimum for all lessons.  One-month notice within the first 7 days of the month is required to discontinue any classes.  Withdrawal must be done in person at Dance Academy, not with the teacher and will not be accepted over the phone.  No withdrawals will be accepted after May 1.  To withdraw from classes a parent or adult student must complete and sign a withdrawal form provided by Dance Academy.  There are no refunds on Costume fees after November 1.  And there are no refunds on Recital fees on or after March 1.

Dress Code:
Required dance wear and dance shoes must be worn to all classes.  Hair must be in a bun and no jewelry.

Attendance and Lateness:
The Academy reserves the right to have a student who comes late to class, sit out the class.  Repeated lateness may result in termination of lessons.  If a student misses more than 4 classes without written notices, the Academy reserves the right to terminate lessons.   Students missing more than 4 classes after January will not be allowed to participate in the year-end dance recital or competitions.

Care of Students:
The Academy is not responsible for providing care before or after classes to the students.  Students are not to be left at the school for excessive time periods before or after classes.
